2023•Leather
Leather started as Hiro Wallet, originally built around the Stacks ecosystem. As the product expanded deeper into Bitcoin, we needed a brand that could represent a much broader ambition: moving from a Stacks wallet to a Bitcoin wallet.

Hiro Wallet had built its first audience within Stacks. As we added more Bitcoin-native assets, the Hiro name no longer reflected where the product was going. The challenge was to expand beyond Stacks without leaving the existing community behind, and to speak to both experienced Bitcoin users and newcomers.
This led to a simple positioning: Leather should feel distinctly Bitcoin while avoiding the clichés common across crypto.
PORTO ROCHA created the visual identity. As the lead designer on the Leather side, I shaped the brief, worked closely with their team throughout, and aligned feedback across product, marketing and stakeholders. Once the identity was set, I brought it into the wallet and our wider digital presence.
